Our Story

How We Started

The iDESIGN inc. Storefront is a small brick and mortar retail store opened in 2021 by Kristin Hayward of iDESIGN inc. a design & renovation firm based out of Manitoba, Canada.

Kristin graduated with a Commerce Honours Degree with a major in Marketing and worked as a Policy Analyst with the Federal Government for a number of years before discovering her passion for interior design.  

It wasn’t until Kristin and her husband Tim decided to build their first home that Kristin really discovered her true professional passion in life.  Rather than hiring a conventional home builder Kristin decided to design & general contract the home-build from the ground up. 

Fast forward 5 years, after having her second child Kristin returned to school, received a Diploma in Interior Design and opened iDESIGN INC.

iDESIGN, expanded quickly & in 2021 Kristin decided to open her first Brick and Mortar retail location to better serve her clients but also to fill a gap that she recognized in the local market for the type of furnishings & decor that she was searching for on a daily basis.  

The iDESIGN INC. Storefront is a collection of high-end furnishings & home decor that are carefully curated, unique & have luxurious, laid back California influences.

The “Storefront” is located on Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg Manitoba, once know as Winnipeg’s “Little Italy”.  Corydon Avenue is a destination district with trendy shopping & dining.

Designer Trade Program

At the iDESIGN inc.  Storefront we are excited to work with other designers. 

The “Storefront” was born out of recognized gap in the market to find reliably high quality unique pieces that aligned with our specialized design aesthetic. 

We have partnered with high quality vendors & suppliers which will save you time & overall costs.  In addition, we are working with local makers to bring to you small batch one of a kind products for your projects.

Our Designer Trade program is not just open to interior designers, it is open to architects, home builders, & home stagers.  

Becoming a Designer Trade member means you will:

Receive exclusive discounts on ALL regular priced items in our Storefront.  

We believe you will grow to love our products as much as we do. Therefore, there are no minimum spend requirements.  Instead we are offering a tiered discount system.  The more you spend at the iDESIGN inc. Storefront the more you will save

Level 1 - 10% (spend under $15K in 12 months)

Level 2 - 15% (spend $15K-$40K in 12 months)

Level 3 - 20% (spend over $40K in 12 months)

Additional Perks: Access to our team who has extensive product knowledge on the items that we carry.  They can provide you with comprehensive support with regard to product specs, samples, lead time, shipping, etc.

We are passionate about design and are always happy to lend our eye, provide design support and scan our catalog of suppliers for the best possible options for you and your clients.

This is such a visual field and we are all taking amazing pictures of the spaces that we design and create to generate interest in our business. We ask that when you are sharing photos with our products in your completed spaces be sure to tag us (and send people our way if they ask about our specific products).  In exchange we will be sure to share this image across our platforms and will always give you a shout out as well so people know who to get in touch with if they have fallen in love with your work!

Please credit your photographer too, so we can include their info as well!

Submissions to the Designer Trade Program can be made via email to info@interiorsiDESIGN.com or in-store at 900 Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg MB.

To qualify submissions must include a copy of your business license or GST registration plus one of the following: a business card, business website URL, membership to a professional organization or interior design certificate.

Shipping & Returns


Standard Freight: Shipping costs will be calculated at time of check out.  

Home Delivery: iDESIGN INC. provides curbside delivery within the Winnipeg city limits for a fee of $150.  If you are outside the city limits please inquire about the curbside delivery fee in your area.

White Glove Delivery: iDESIGN INC. offers white glove delivery service within the Winnipeg city limits for a fee of $250.  This service includes delivery, un-packaging, placement of furniture & packaging removal.  If you are outside city limits please inquire regarding the white glove service fee for your area.


We have hand selected the iDESIGN INC. inventory because we love the items.  However, we do understand that there will be times in which you may need to return. 

General Policy: Proof of purchase is required for a refund. Our customers are responsible for return shipping. Upon return, your item will be inpspected and refunds, exchanges & credits will be issued as follows. Refunds are made to the original method of payment, less shipping and handling.  Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, unless the item received is damaged, defective or incorrect. Return shipping and re-stocking fees may apply.

NOTE: Items must be returned in original packaging.

Stocked Decor Items: We accept returns for decor pieces within 30 days of delivery or purchase whichever is more recent with proof of purchase. We regret that we are not able to cancel orders for in-stock merchandise once they have been subitted to our suppliers.

Lighting Fixtures: We accept returns on lighting fixtures if they have been delivered and/or purchased within the last 30 days.  In order to qualify for a refund they must be unused/uninstalled and in complete original packaging, this includes all packaging material & original factory information and paperwork.  Fixtures must be packaged exactly as it was originally. Any slight variation in the packing could cause the piece to be damaged in transit making the return invalid.  Do not write or put any markings on the outside of the packaging.  There is a 15% re-stocking fee on all returned lighting.  Any customized lights are non-refundable.


Artwork: All artwork is final sale. Once an order has been submitted, it cannot be changed or modified in any way.  We cannot accept returns on any artwork purchases.  All artwork is carefully inspected prior to shipment, but damages do happen, and we ask that you inspect your pieces upon receipt. Please note any damages at the time of delivery and contact iDESIGN INC. immediately.

Furniture: Furniture orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of submitting the order. All furniture sales are final after this cancellation window. Please note, backorder dates are subject to change based on manufacturer production. Our team will provide notifications on impacted items as soon as we receive them. We cannot accept returns on any furniture purchases. Furniture is carefully inspected prior to shipment, but damages do happen, and we ask that you inspect your pieces upon receipt. Please note any damages at the time of delivery.

If a defect is discovered and/or delivery is refused, iDESIGN INC will replace the item or schedule a furniture medic or service technician to repair the issue at no charge to you.

Final Sale & Clearance Items: Please note that final sale & clearance items are not returnable or exchangeable.
